My editing journey began in 1986, buried in my alma mater's subterranean library stacks, decoding the secret lives of microbes in preparation for the editing of my client's master's thesis, bound for the Journal of Clinical Microbiology (JCM).
My Honors English degree gave me grammar and grace; those four days underground among the microbe-laden journals taught me humility, patience, and the art of listening to what a writer means beneath what they say. That experience revealed my true calling: bridging literature, science, technology, and the human condition, with language. Helping writers find and refine their voice in all fields of academic, literary, scientific, and technical publishing, is my purpose.
