Accessibility Statement

EditFast wants this site to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard alone, magnification, or a browser set to larger text. This page says what we are aiming at, what we have actually checked, and what we know is still wrong. It is more useful to you honest than flattering.

The standard we target

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

How far we currently conform

Partially conformant. Most of the site meets Level AA. Some of it does not yet, and the parts we know about are listed below.

What has been done

• A skip link is the first thing a keyboard reaches on every page.
• The mobile menu button reports its open or closed state to assistive technology, and keeps that in step with what is on screen.
• Form fields have real labels, including where the label is not shown on screen. Placeholder text is not used as a substitute for a label.
• The focus outline is visible for keyboard navigation and is not suppressed anywhere.
• Pages reflow to a phone-width screen without sideways scrolling.
• Text colours and the colour behind our buttons were corrected in September 2026 so that body text, links and button labels meet the 4.5:1 contrast minimum. Before that, several did not.
• Links inside body text are underlined, so they are not identified by colour alone.

Known gaps, as of the date above

• The main navigation has not been tested with a screen reader or by keyboard alone. It is large, it has drop-down menus, and it appears on every page, which makes it the most likely place on the site for a real problem. Automated tools do not catch what matters here. This is the next thing on the list.
• No testing with actual assistive technology has been done at all. Everything above was checked with automated tools and by inspecting the code. Automated testing catches perhaps a third of real accessibility problems.
• The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which can be difficult with some assistive technology. If it blocks you, email or phone us instead using the details below — you will get exactly the same service, and we are looking at replacing it.
• Some older PDF documents linked from the site have not been checked for accessibility. Ask us and we will send you the content in another format.

How this statement was prepared

This statement was written on 12 September 2026 following an automated audit of the site's main page templates with axe-core 4.10.2 at both desktop and phone widths, together with a review of the markup. It will be updated as the gaps above are closed, and reviewed at least once a year.
