Secondary haemorrhage typically arrives around day five to ten, at home, often at night, usually to a frightened parent who was told to expect some discomfort. We write that material to name the risk period explicitly, describe what significant bleeding looks like, and give an unambiguous instruction to attend the emergency department rather than phone and wait — because hesitation is the danger, and vague wording produces hesitation.
